Starving Artists are (L - R):

Neil Mavor - Drums, Backing Vocals

Jesse Muldoon - Lead Vocals, Guitars

Tim Parker - Guitars

Terry Ross - Bass Guitars

Starving Artists are an original band with 20-plus years of writing and performing experience dating back to their high school days at Barrie Central Collegiate.  Tim Parker and Jesse Muldoon started playing and writing music together in 1998 and over the course of the next few years were joined by other collaborators.  Drummer Matt Brass and Bass player Terry Ross joined the line-up in 2004 and added their writing talents to those of Muldoon and Parker.

In October of 2007, Starving Artists competed for and won $10 000 in an original music contest through a local radio station. The band used the proceeds to record their debut EP "Blend". Rave reviews and numerous shows followed. In 2011 came the release of their second CD "In Your Shoes" - a collection of 13 original songs including "Driveway", "Tuesday", and the fan favorite, "Molly".

A line up change in November 2011 saw the recruitment of drummer Neil Mavor.  Beginning in the winter of 2012, the Starving Artists began recording at Mavor's LoudDrums Studio.  In March 2013, Starving Artists produced "Ideas", a new 6-song EP that saw songs like "Ideas" and "Handshake" became favorites on internet radio showcases.

Unable to slow down, and with many new song ideas ready to go, by the summer of '13 Starving Artists were back at LoudDrums and Soundpost Audio (where the vocals were recorded with producer/engineer Andy Bruce) working on a new album.  Over the next 14 months they crafted "Sun Never Sleeps".  This 8-song compilation really captures the creative spirit of the band, from the driving rock of "Moonshine and Dynamite", "Lucky 7" and "Reel 2 Real", to the dynamic power of "Razzberry", to the funky grooves of "City Blocks".

Over the next year or so, the Artist continued to play shows and drink from the well of creativity.  In July 2016 they released their 5th studio collection called "Gallery of Oddities".   This 8-song collection maintained the Artist's commitment to indie rock traditions with brash rock statements,  acoustic textures, and progressive concepts.  A dynamic album from start to finish, "Gallery of Oddities" also includes some fantastic saxophone and horn playing by Graham Hilliam.
In March 2017, the Starving Artists released "Little Lightning" - a 3-song EP written during the previous spring and summer. Please check out a review of "Little Lightning" here:

The Starving Artists' latest 8-song album entitled "Miles", was released in early September 2019.  Their seventh release of original music, "Miles" is a nod to the Artists’ longevity as an independent act and details their constant need to move forward.  This new album sees the Starving Artists return to their alt-rock roots with songs such as "Miles", "Mr. Den", and "The In-Between".  Guest musicians Graham Hilliam (horns) and Jay Rothenburg (keyboards) add their great talents to "Sore Throat" and "Elastics" respectively.  "Miles" is available now on iTunes, Band Camp, Spotify, and all other major music streaming sites.
